1916 Sentinel 6 ton steam wagon

This was made the year after Sentinel Waggon Works Ltd (dating from 1906) switched from Glasgow to a new factory in Shrewsbury, England. Sentinel also made steam railcars (an example of which came to NZ) and later diesel locomotives. It was taken over by Rolls Royce in 1956.  This example has the lettering of Bass and Company brewery in Burton on Trent.

Just spotted a gorgeous sentinel today. We used to have two in Exeter until quite recently, sadly the owner of these was killed whilst working on one last year.
