3ft gauge 2-8-2


This was built by Baldwin for the US military in 1943, now operating on the 2.5 mile Dollywood railway in Tennessee.

"The #192 is a 2-8-2 built in 1943 by Baldwin. It has total engine weight of 118,000 pounds (54 tonnes) producing 16,000 pounds (7,300 kg) of tractive effort through 48-inch (120 cm) drivers. It has 16-inch (41 cm) diameter cylinders with a 24-inch (61 cm) stroke. It is a superheated with dome throttle, Johnson Bar and a 6-ET Brake Stand."
