tram in Reichskanzlerplatz, Berlin, 1920s

Today called Theodor-Heuss-Platz, this was named Reichskanzlerplatz between 1908 and 1933 when it was renamed Adolf-Hitler-Platz.

Hitler hated the buildings around this square and had he won the war and remade Berlin he planned to rename the square Mussoliniplatz. He also designed a horrible-looking monument to Il Duce to be placed in the center.
